“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing”

       Theodore Roosevelt
Reflection:
No matter what situation one is put to, we should always be reminded to choose the right. For example when your friends are trying to get you to smoke weed, no matter how much they beg you, you should always choose the right and say no.  by saying no, it may make you seem  uncool but you’ll keep in mind that you chose the right decision, which is choosing the right

I have came up with 200 life goals.I have only accomplished 60 goals but will soon accomplish all of them. i have only been able to accomplish this limited amount because most of them are to be accomplished as I grow older and become more responsible. I am planning to fill my notebook up with accomplished goals by the time I am 50.

Video Reflection:

The video we saw shows great character. Bob who lives in New York in a very poor/bad environment helps out the people in his surroundings in medical situations because he wants to help. He doesn't expect to get paid yet instead does it all for free. He lives off peoples donations and although he gets tips at times he uses that money to get him supplies he needs in order to help them. he buys medicine his patients need and supplies that help him do what he does. In my perspective he is a great human being for he does all this to help the people rather than to get paid. As long as the people are okay, he is too.
“Make each day your masterpiece. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better, and over a period of time you become a lot better.”

                                John Wooden
Reflection:

Live today like it’s your last day. Learn from your mistakes. Make sure to always choose the right every day. Doing so will lead to a positive outlook. If you make a mistake don’t stop there, use it as experience to help you continue advancing in life. We should aim to be better than what we were yesterday.

Video:

This video was very inspiring. It’s amazing that Sara finally fulfilled her dream of accomplishing a home run, although her last day playing softball was that day. She had an injury while running to home plate but still went back to first plate because she didn’t touch it when running earlier. She wasn’t able to run anymore so she crawled to first base. No one in her team was able to help so Mallory and Liz from the opposing team did. They carried her and walked her around the field making sure she touched each base with her left foot. Sara had hit the ball out of the fence so it was meant to be a homerun. Mallory and Liz being good players helped accomplished the homerun although it was their opposing team. They chose to do the right thing in the right time.
“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”

                                                                                   Pam Knox
Reflection:

It’s not a great moment; it’s a fantastic moment when some chooses to do the correct thing in the right time. For example, this one time afterschool I was walking when some guys’ papers fell and started to fly away with all the wind. I couldn’t just pass by and pretend like it didn’t happen. I had to do what my conscious was telling me to do and help out this guy. When people saw me picking them up others joined in to help the guy and his papers were all soon off the floor. Doing so made me feel right about myself. It was the right timing to choose the right.

What you see is what you get it”

                                                                Anonymous
Reflection:

What you see yourself as is what you think of yourself. You get what you see. For example, if you see yourself as a lame loser than that’s what your self-esteem and way of viewing yourself is going to be. It’s always good to view oneself as something positive. People should try avoiding seeing each other as something bad and see the virtuous side to things. What we see is what makes us.

                World Records

 Longest snake - ever (captivity)
Who:     MEDUSA
Where:     UNITED STATES, KANSAS CITY
When:  12 OCTOBER 2011
Medusa was found to be 7.67 m (25 ft 2 in) long.
                                                                Favorite world record
Most tattooed senior citizen (female)
Who:     ISOBEL VARLEY
What:    93 PERCENTAGE
Where: ITALY, MILAN
When:  25 APRIL 2009
The most tattooed senior citizen is Isobel Varley (UK), who had covered 93% of her body with tattoos as revealed on the set of Lo Show dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on 25 April 2009.

This world record amazes me because it’s an elderly lady with a lot of tattoos. Tattoos call my attention overall but the fact that it’s an elderly lady is amazing. Elderly people are expected to look young and kind, but an elderly person with tattoos looks like a rebel for their age. Isobel has covered 93% of her body in tattoos which is very shocking and remarkable.

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right.”

                                                                                Theodore Hesburgh
Reflection:

The decisions you make should always be the right thing to do. Remember to not do a decision to bandwagon with everyone or to rebel against anything but because it’s the right to do. No matter what situation one is stuck in always keep in mind to do what is correct.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound (not good).”

Joseph Smith
Reflection:

What this quote is saying is that we should make good things popular by doing what is right and keep what is wrong silent. It is better to spread the word of choosing the right in a way in which people could follow and make it popular. The world should avoid making what is wrong more common and keep it rather on a low and ostracized.
