                                                                   New Media
From this class I really liked the fact that each one of us had our own computer. I do not like the idea of this class. I understand one has to learn to choose the right but by constantly repeating to us to choose the right every other day doesn’t help, instead people just stop Caring about this class.  What’s the whole purpose, to choose the right? One lesson is perfectly fine but by giving us various lessons about it, isn’t getting any of us anywhere, we’ll learn throughout our life decisions rather than having a class that is entirely trying to get us to learn to do what the system think is right rather than what we think is right. And yes we make mistakes, oh well. Get over it. Every person in this school does too by some sort of wrong choice they made. Mr.Haymore you’re a nice person overall but focus more on teaching students more things about the computer and how it works, about the world and all rather than showing us examples of people who chose the right and are now successful or having us reflect to some random quote that you liked that its main point is to get us to choose the right. Life happens. This class seems like a total joke to some people, and if you actually read this, I’m sorry but it’s true. Having the life planning goals is actually a good idea but learn to vary your teachings.  I’m pretty sure that the majority of the students just agreed to every quote, focused that all their reflection must be agreeing. Most are close-minded focused on just writing a reflection you will be delighted to read rather than putting their honest and real thoughts/opinions. I choose the right according to what I believe not what you, others, or the system thinks is right. I have my own mindset and way of thinking and having a class that tries to teach me to choose the right is idiotic.

“The ultimate choice.”
Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is:
To be a CTR Person- to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT
Stick to choosing the right, according to Mr.Haymores it is the best we can do which I totally agree.

“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have of tomorrow?”

                                                                                Alan Stein
Reflection:

Our success depends on what we decide to do, especially now in our teenage years. Sadly, but true. We chose what we wanted whether we thought about the future or not. At some point it was going to catch up to us like most things do. Make sure to do things thinking of the consequences. Yet again I sound like a major hypocrite because I do things without really thinking about it.

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

                                                                                Thomas Carlyle
Reflection:

Set a goal in life. Have several goals to aim for. If you have no goal what are you specifically aiming for? Are you aiming for anything in life? For example when using a gun one must aim somewhere in order to succeed in their purpose. Same here, in order to be able to say “I made it” make sure to have goals set.  A ship without a rudder can go anywhere; a person without goals has nowhere much to go. Make sure to set your goals. Goals lead you to success and that is what many people are in search for. It may not be easy, but setting goals will get you somewhere in life that you will be very glad of when you reach.

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
Conclusion: if there beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.

Reflection:

The six pillars represent the main things character is made out of. I have been living the six pillars throughout the 16 years of my life therefore don’t see the point of making a commitment to fill full them if I know I already do.

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”

                                                Sophocles
Reflection:

There’s no excuse in cheating. For example in a test, if you cheat, yeah you’re probably going to pass but would it feel right? One past that certain assignment because you cheated. If you get a good grade, good for you; but you didn’t earn it. It may feel good in the moment but your conscious will always be there reminding you, you chose the wrong. It’s better to fail with honor knowing you tried rather than winning by cheating.
