Duties and responsibilities:
Treat allergic diseases and immunological disorders in
patients. Find the cause of allergic irritants that trigger immune responses in
the body. Perform clinical evaluation of allergies in patients for appropriate
treatments. Participate in the ongoing research efforts on allergies. Study and
focus on epidemiological aspects of allergies and immunology disorders. Determine and study the
causative agents or allergens in patients.
Salary:
$82,434 to $275,753 a year
Education:
Allergists must complete college or enough science and math
courses to be admitted to medical school. They must then complete four years of
medical school and three years of residency.
Reflection:
I wouldn't like to be
an allergist because although they help many people and including sometimes
saving ones life I feel like the medicine topic isn't my thing. I can’t imagine
myself in the position of working as an allergist.
