Licensed
practical nurse
Duties and responsibilities:
·
Monitor patients' health—for example, by
checking their blood pressure.
·
Administer basic patient care, including
changing bandages and inserting catheters.
·
Provide for the basic comfort of patients, such
as helping them bathe or dress.
Salary:
$41,540
Education:
Aspiring LPNs need a high school diploma or GED to apply for
an LPN educational training program, typically a 12-month program found in
technical and vocational schools and community colleges. These programs award
diplomas or certificates rather than degrees.
Reflection:
I wouldn’t like to be a licensed practical nurse. The duties
and such don’t call my attention.
