“Great beauty, great strength, and great
riches are really and
truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds
all.”
Benjamin Franklin
Reflection:
If you don’t have
a good heart but have many other things, is it really worth it? Beauty or
strength doesn’t help you out in important ways. What good is being beautiful
if you don’t have a good heart? Why do you want to have strength if your mind
isn’t set to choose the right? For example, many people say that rich people
are usually filthy rich with nothing to spend money on but are deep down alone.
The greed of riches leads to bad things and can leave you by yourself. You can
have little to nothing but with an unlimited heart you have a lot. People who have
more riches than others, believe that they are more and usually don’t have as
many friends, mainly because they are so selfish and don’t have the best heart.
