Architect
Duties and
responsibilities:
Design new
buildings, extensions or alterations to existing buildings, or advising on the
restoration and conservation of old properties. An architect must also think
about a building’s style, safety and sustainability to ensure it meets the
needs of its occupants as well as the requirements of state and federal
regulators. Architects work with both government agencies and private clients.
Salary:
$73,090
Education:
Prospective
architects must complete a professional degree program that is accredited by
the National Architectural Accrediting Board in order to become licensed in
most states. High school graduates who want to become an architect may enroll
in a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program.
Reflection:
Many people have told me that they
can see me as an architect as my future career. I find it interesting to work
as an architect. You’re able to help design and help a certain building grow. I
am somewhat considering becoming an architect.
