From this class I really liked the fact that each one of us had our own computer. I do not like the idea of this class. I understand one has to learn to choose the right but by constantly repeating to us to choose the right every other day doesn’t help, instead people just stop Caring about this class. What’s the whole purpose, to choose the right? One lesson is perfectly fine but by giving us various lessons about it, isn’t getting any of us anywhere, we’ll learn throughout our life decisions rather than having a class that is entirely trying to get us to learn to do what the system think is right rather than what we think is right. And yes we make mistakes, oh well. Get over it. Every person in this school does too by some sort of wrong choice they made. Mr.Haymore you’re a nice person overall but focus more on teaching students more things about the computer and how it works, about the world and all rather than showing us examples of people who chose the right and are now successful or having us reflect to some random quote that you liked that its main point is to get us to choose the right. Life happens. This class seems like a total joke to some people, and if you actually read this, I’m sorry but it’s true. Having the life planning goals is actually a good idea but learn to vary your teachings. I’m pretty sure that the majority of the students just agreed to every quote, focused that all their reflection must be agreeing. Most are close-minded focused on just writing a reflection you will be delighted to read rather than putting their honest and real thoughts/opinions. I choose the right according to what I believe not what you, others, or the system thinks is right. I have my own mindset and way of thinking and having a class that tries to teach me to choose the right is idiotic.

“The
ultimate choice.”
Of all the choices you will ever make,
one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help
you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is
your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This
one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE
ULTIMATE CHOICE is:
To
be a CTR Person- to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT
Stick to choosing the right, according
to Mr.Haymores it is the best we can do which I totally agree.

“Success is not an accident. Success
is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you
have of tomorrow?”
Alan Stein
Reflection:
Our
success depends on what we decide to do, especially now in our teenage years. Sadly,
but true. We chose what we wanted whether we thought about the future or not. At
some point it was going to catch up to us like most things do. Make sure to do
things thinking of the consequences. Yet again I sound like a major hypocrite
because I do things without really thinking about it.

“A man
without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”
Thomas Carlyle
Reflection:
Set a goal in life. Have several goals to aim for. If you
have no goal what are you specifically aiming for? Are you aiming for anything
in life? For example when using a gun one must aim somewhere in order to
succeed in their purpose. Same here, in order to be able to say “I made it”
make sure to have goals set. A ship
without a rudder can go anywhere; a person without goals has nowhere much to
go. Make sure to set your goals. Goals lead you to success and that is what many people are in search for. It may not be easy, but setting goals will get you somewhere in life that you will be very glad of when you reach.

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in
the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If
there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
Conclusion: if there beauty in character, there will be
peace in the world.
Reflection:
With one thing you make the other. It needs the other to
function properly. We all must work together to function the way it’s supposed
to be.

Reflection:
The six pillars represent the main
things character is made out of. I have been living the six pillars throughout the
16 years of my life therefore don’t see the point of making a commitment to fill
full them if I know I already do.

“I would prefer
even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
Sophocles
Reflection:
There’s no excuse in cheating. For example
in a test, if you cheat, yeah you’re probably going to pass but would it feel
right? One past that certain assignment because you cheated. If you get a good
grade, good for you; but you didn’t earn it. It may feel good in the moment but
your conscious will always be there reminding you, you chose the wrong. It’s better
to fail with honor knowing you tried rather than winning by cheating.

their service.

“The most important thing you will ever have is good values.”
Dennis
Prager
Reflection:
Good values are very important. It isn’t the most important
thing we can have in my perspective, but it is important. Some may think money
is more important, but is it really? I mean yeah you get to buy anything you
want but what about your values? It’s always better to keep that in mind rather
than something so foolish.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong”
Wilford
Woodruff
Reflection:
What’s the
point in doing the wrong? We don’t gain anything either way, yet again you may
gain the opposite. Choosing the wrong is profound to lead to negative
consequence, which isn’t good. So, why choose the wrong? Always stick to
choosing the right. Choosing the right will lead to a positive consequence in
which would make one feel better.

Video reflection:
Mr. Morgan works in an airport and when he was on duty he
found an iPad with 13k in the case. He returned the iPad with the money to the
authority and it got returned to the owner. The owner gave him 60 dollars in
reward thankful for Patrick’s honesty and character. Patrick, instead of
keeping that $60, he gave 30 dollars to a homeless lady and the rest to a coworker.
His boss then rewarded him with $625, his good deed not going unnoticed.
“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal
phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self-worth), Integrity, and self-esteem.”
Dr. Laura
Schlessinger
Reflection:
Doing what is right
is a life style. There is no physical reward to give for someone choosing the
right. It’s more of a rewarding feeling one has after doing what is right. When
someone does a good deed it makes them feel good about themselves, more useful
and handy. it makes us feel better about ourselves because we know we chose the
right.

Video Reflection:
Drinking and driving has always been told to us that it is bad. Eric Smallridge's story is living proof of that statement. He had been driving drunk and caused an accident. Lisa and Megan are the two girls that were in the car when he crashed into them. They died instantly. Renee had made sure Eric got what he deserved for killing them both in an unconscious state. Eric had received 22 years in jail. Renee had then spoke to the judge to cut Eric's sentence in half because she had forgave him. In order for her to move on and such she felt she had to forgive him. forgiving him she accepted what had happened. Renee felt that the only way to cure her injury in her heart she had to forgive him.

When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we
forgive.”
Alan Paton
Reflection:
This quote can be interpreted many ways. I interpret it
emotionally rather than physically. Everyone makes mistakes that have affected
a person negatively. The person could’ve stayed mad at the other person but
they can’t hold a grudge forever. If they really want to get better they have
to be able to accept what happened and forgive the person. But because they forgave
the person it doesn’t mean they have to talk to them ever again. The thought
that you don’t have to hold a grudge against them will let you be in peace. In order
to recover from that injury that really affected you, you have to be able to forgive
them.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you
can do is the right thing”
Theodore Roosevelt
Reflection:
No matter
what situation one is put to, we should always be reminded to choose the right.
For example when your friends are trying to get you to smoke weed, no matter
how much they beg you, you should always choose the right and say no. by saying no, it may make you seem uncool but you’ll keep in mind that you chose
the right decision, which is choosing the right
life planning progress post
I have tried my best coming up with goals I have in my life. I have came up with 200 life goals.I have only accomplished 60 goals but will soon accomplish all of them. i have only been able to accomplish this limited amount because most of them are to be accomplished as I grow older and become more responsible. I am planning to fill my notebook up with accomplished goals by the time I am 50.
